Dream properties at the touch of a button: Quant and Huawei in Saudi Arabia

Revolutionizing Real Estate: Quant and Huawei Bring Dream Properties to Saudi Arabia

Discover how Quant is revolutionizing Saudi Arabia’s real estate market with data-driven insights and Huawei’s cloud services for investors and buyers.

In the past, Saudi Arabia lacked data in the real estate sector despite being a wealthy nation with a growing interest in property investments over stocks. Entrepreneur Ahmed Bukhamseen saw this gap and founded Quant to revolutionize the property investment market by providing pricing information to buyers, speculators, and investors.

At the heart of Quant lies data – from advertised prices to mapping, construction details, geo-spatial data, and imagery. In a recent interview at the Mobile World Congress in Barcelona, Ahmed discussed the company’s vision and journey, highlighting the importance of data protection laws in Saudi Arabia and the need for a local host for data storage.

Initially, Huawei’s cloud services were not on Quant’s radar until last year when they compared it with other options. The company started by sourcing information from Saudi municipal registries but later enriched it with local data and satellite imagery to provide a comprehensive view of the property market.

Despite facing challenges with data storage costs due to frequent satellite image updates, Quant turned to Huawei for solutions. The company aims to enhance its data by introducing feature detection and object recognition, enabling clients to make informed decisions about property investments.

Quant’s app democratizes the property market, catering to various users from first-time buyers to portfolio managers and investors. By combining different data sources like property prices and maps, the app empowers users to find and sell properties seamlessly.

Looking ahead, Quant plans to expand its services to include retail site recommendations based on neighborhood demographics and delve into the rental market. By leveraging Huawei’s technology, the company aims to expedite model deployment and provide real-time data updates for investors.

Quant envisions a future where foreign investors can easily navigate the Saudi real estate market through their app. With a focus on rapid growth and multiplying investments, the partnership between Quant and Huawei aims to streamline property transactions and provide valuable data insights to users.
